Reto: 7 Días, 7 Chakras

Challenge: 7 Days, 7 Chakras

Strengthen your inner rainbow in one week! Use the hashtag: #rainbowyogachallenge #7dias7chakras

“The closer we get to being what we are meant to be, the brighter we shine.”

While we know, the rainbow is an amazing optical phenomenon in which, due to the reflection of light in raindrops, we perceive an arc-shaped range of colors in the sky. In YOGA, colors also reflect high vibrations within us. These vibrations are concentrated in 7 different parts of our body and are the source of energy charged by each color when we see them.

These energy centers are what are called Ckakras in Hinduism, and they act precisely in relation to our 4 fields: Etheric, Emotional, Mental and Spiritual.

Although it may sound a little confusing, it is simpler than it seems. We could say, through our vision we “see” each color, but it is our body that “perceives” the energy that each color carries.

We know that, over the course of 7 days, we can help you establish this color-chakra relationship and also strengthen your internal energy field with the use of some elements and Mantras, in short 15-minute meditations .

What is a Mantra?

Mantras are words in verse and prose used in repetition. In Buddhism they are like a type of hymn, prayer or song; with great psychological and spiritual power that, recited in its original language ( Sanskrit ), help us unlock energy, cleanse and heal.

Color-Chakra-Mantra Relationship

The colors of the chakras, just like the rainbow, are: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet.

The “7 days, 7 chakras” challenge invites you to activate your inner rainbow in one week. For each day , we will choose a color with its respective chakra and mantra.

We will take Monday as a reference on day one, but you can choose any day to start, as long as you follow the same order of the chakras starting with the so-called Base or Root Chakra.

For this exercise:

Meditate on each chakra and activate its energy according to its color

You need:

  • Towel, rug or comfortable mat, where you will sit to perform the exercise.
  • Headphones or speaker. Close your eyes, listen and repeat the mantra corresponding to each chakra.
  • During the day, before or after meditation, consume foods according to the day of the challenge and respective color, fruits or vegetables. For example, on day 1-Red color, consume fruits such as strawberries, red apple, red vegetables.

Time: Recommended for at least 10 minutes or up to half an hour, maintaining the posture.

Let's start!

Sit in the lotus position or simply with your legs crossed normally and look for objects of the respective chakra color, place them in front of you and observe them for a few minutes. Look for those objects that can represent spiritual or energetic value, invite you to tranquility and activate your positive thoughts. You can use candles, crystals or stones, flowers, images.

Relax your body, close your eyes and listen to the mantra indicated for each day below:

Monday

Chakra 1: Root

MULADHARA

"I have"

Color: Red

Mantra: LAM

COURAGE

🔊LAM Mantra

The Root chakra represents our connection with the earth, the one that gives us everything we need to live.

If you feel sheltered, connected to Mother Nature, safe, honored and secure in the place you are in or the people you surround yourself with, it is a sign that the energy of your Root chakra is aligned. Signs that you should work on are: feeling of insecurity, fear, anxiety, low self-esteem and achieving that feeling of security and calm that you deserve.

The color red projects: strength, stability, passion, calm and desire to live.

To unblock and heal, meditate with the LAM mantra.

Tuesday

Chakra 2: Sacral

SWADISHTHANA

"I wish"

Mantra: VAM

Color: Orange

CREATIVITY

🔊Vam Mantra

Orange is the color of sensuality, sexual and physical pleasure. Its vibration is located in the adrenal plexus and in the upper part of our sexual organs. If we reinforce it, it stimulates joy, a feeling of freshness, creativity and raises professional self-esteem.

This chakra is related to interpersonal relationships, the acceptance of the other as an opposite individual but at the same time as a complement and emotional balance.

If we make good use of its energy, we will be able to grow at an individual level through healthy relationships with others, being able to eliminate attachments not only material but also related to people, beliefs and places.

To unblock and heal Sacral chakra listen the mantra VAM.

Wednesday

3rd Chakra: Solar

MANIPURE

"I can"

Mantra: RAM

CAN

🔊RAM Mantra

Associated with fire, light, positivism, confidence and high self-esteem is the color yellow, which stimulates our third chakra located in the solar plexus or center of our body or navel. Regulates the digestive processes of our body, liver and pancreas. If we stimulate it, it helps oxygenate our body, contributes to our intellect, maturity, responsibility, security, confidence in our tasks and in decision making.

This chakra calls us to review our sense of responsibility for our life, our purpose or calling in this world. Likewise, to our courage and our ability to take risks.

To unblock and heal Solar chakra listen the mantra RAM.

Thursday

Chakra 4: Heart

ANAHATA

"I love"

Color: Green

Mantra: YAM

LOVE

🔊YAM Mantra

The color green is related to freedom, compassion, allowing us to vibrate with harmony and balance with everything that surrounds us. It is related to love and affection, but also like the color of nature, of activity, constant reproduction, which drives us to constant activity and motivates us to start something new. At a health level, it should be avoided in association with diseases such as cancer, since this same reproductive power can be harmful to those who suffer from it.

The harmony and balance of this fourth chakra located at the heart of our body also manifests internally, recognizing us as unique beings. When we stimulate it, we manage to strengthen our ability to overcome old beliefs, grief or difficulties that anchored us to the past, leaving us with some type of wound. By freeing ourselves from this suffering we enrich ourselves internally in terms of spirituality, self-acceptance, self-love and the ability to live only in the present time.

To unblock and heal heart chakra listen the mantra YAM.

Friday

Chakra 5: Throat

VISHUDDHA

🔊HAM Mantra

This Chakra is aligned with our ability to express ourselves in general, the way we communicate with others, to speak, to sing. It is located in the area of the throat and larynx. Its blue color stimulates us towards calm, tolerance, and self-acceptance. Spaces conditioned with this color bring true peace and tranquility. Its energy has great sanctioning power, ideal for combating fears, panic or anguish.

To unblock and heal the Throat Chakra listen to the mantra HAM.

Saturday

Chakra 6: Third Eye

AJNA

"I see"

Mantra: OM

Color: Violet

INTUITION

🔊OM Mantra

Violet, color of the mind and spirit. It helps us greatly to alert ourselves, interpret sensations that go beyond the physical plane, since it is related to the higher spirituality of the soul. The sixth chakra is what we commonly call our sixth sense or ability to consciously sense through our intuition. It is called our third eye. The use of this color helps transformation, it attracts clairvoyance, gratitude, cleanliness and wisdom.

To unblock and heal Third Eye Chakra, listen to the mantra OM.

If you have noticed, each mantra begins with OM... and then the name of the chakra with the corresponding syllable.

Sunday

Chakra 7: Crown

SAHASRARA

"I am"

Mantra: (Silence)

Color: White

WISDOM

This chakra is also found in some other writings such as the color violet, replacing the previous one with indigo blue. However, I prefer to go with the current of those who consider the energy of this last chakra to be that of the color white, associating it with light, purity, divinity, spirituality, peace and universal consciousness. Located at the crown of our head, white ultimately represents nothing more than the mixture of all colors converted into one. We could say that after the energy has traveled throughout our body from the base up through the other chakras, this energy leaves our body through this seventh energy center as a release and expands towards the light or towards divinity.

White has been considered the perfect color for meditation, widely used in the practice of YOGA, in order to stimulate the relaxation of our senses and bring balance to our being.

To activate it, simply remain silent in the same lotus position or tailor's posture mentioned above.
